Sustainability and Community Support

Avant Mining and Avant Mining Fisher Mountain hold a vast crystal land resource. Yet, we are committed to mining not more than 1 percent of our entire asset throughout the history of our operations. Our current mining operations consist of no more than 4 operating locations at once. Some of our largest mines include large areas of protected land that we will never mine, for example at Fisher Mountain located in the Ouachita National Forest, where of our 200 acre lease, we are only mining a small portion of previously impacted areas. Likewise all of our current mining operations are in existing footprints from previous mine.

It is our hope that by introducing these practices as the basis for industry-wide standards we can lead the other companies and consumers toward an embrace of only ethically sourced quartz crystals.

COMMUNITY GIVING AND SUPPORT

Avant Mining surpasses all other crystal mining companies in its charitable giving. We are pleased to provide annual funding to Project Hope Food Bank, Jackson House, Cooper Child Advocacy Center, and Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. Avant Mining was the lead sponsor of the groundbreaking 2019 exhibition Crystals in Art: Ancient to Today at Crystal Bridges.

Supporting other small businesses.

Being a small business ourselves, we try as hard as possible to source our products from other small businesses. We believe in supporting your local economy, where your purchases have the biggest impact. That is why we are proud to support Red Light Roastery of Hot Springs, AR for our coffee, Pink House Alchemy of Fayetteville, AR for our syrups, Reynolds Rubber Stamp Co. of N. Little Rock, AR for our stamps, and Mt. Ida Print of Mount Ida, AR for our signage. We are always looking for new businesses to support, so be sure to reach out if you are interested in partnerships!
